Qingdao Tourism School is a key vocational school at national level and among the National Firstly-appointed schools of Demonstration specialty. It is also the Model School for Vocational Education of Shandong Province, the Model School for Civilization of Qingdao and the Advanced Unit on Foreign Affairs of Qingdao Education Bureau. There are 54 classes with 2,602 students and 185 teaching staffs in the school now. It offers 10 majors in three categories, which are Tourism, Business and Art. We are the biggest international modern tourism school in Shandong province.
   Our school is the Garden-style school of Qingdao. The teaching building and practice building jointly cover an area of 17000㎡, with 55 standard classrooms(each of the classrooms has a computer, a digital TV, a projector), 16 professional classrooms, 4 computer classrooms, 2 language labs and 3 multi-media classrooms. Additionally, there are electronic lesson preparing rooms, electronic reading rooms, plastic and rubber playground, tennis courts, foreign teacher’s apartments, high-level body training room and a gym in the school. The school also has a library and a reading room with an area of about 1000 ㎡ and 50,000 books. The school network covers all classrooms and offices, and more than 500 computers can be online at the same time. The teaching facilities are advanced.
   On one hand, our school firmly adheres to the policy of strengthening cooperation with international organizations and providing students with chances to study further and work abroad. On the other hand, We aim to realize high quality employment of students on the basis of high employment rates within our country. We are sure the efforts will help the school develop better and better.
  International-oriented: to explore opportunities for students to develop further abroad.
   So far around 2,000 graduates have worked or studied abroad in more than ten countries and regions, which ranks first among all vocational schools in Shandong Province. Our School is the first in China to conduct the students’ internship project in Japan, through which 647 students in 11 batches have been sent to Japan, and a lot of students have benefited from this project.
  Market-oriented: to ensure high quality employment within our country.
  Over 95% of our graduates have got suitable jobs in Chinese airlines, foreign invested enterprises, travel services and government institutes. 119 flight attendants and 229 ground service staff members who graduated from Qingdao Tourism School, majoring in Flight Service, have been employed by many of the Chinese major airline companies. Among them are Southern Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Eastern Airlines, Shandong Airlines, Capital International Airport, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and Qingdao Liuting Airports. The number of students employed by airlines and airports ranks first of all vocational schools in Shandong Province, and is among the first few schools of the same kind in China.

Our school covers an area of 15,341m2 and the school environment is very beautiful. It has been selected as “Garden-style School of Qingdao” in the past several successive years 。 The school has building area of 27,683m2 , including teaching buildings and practice buildings of 17,642m2 ,which consists of over 50 standard classrooms, 16 professional classrooms,5 computer classrooms ， two audio language classrooms,2 multi-media classrooms and 1 multi-media report hall . All the standard classrooms have a computer, a digital TV, a projector and other multi-media equipments .Additionally, there are electronic lesson preparing classrooms, electronic reading room, plastic and rubber playground, foreign teacher apartments and 600m2 gym in the school 。 The school also has a library of 1000m2 with over 5000 books and 300 kinds of newspapers and magazines. The library is available for 300 readers at same time ， School network covers all classrooms and offices ,and more than 500 computers can be online at the sane time

Our school has ten teaching and research offices,180 staffs and 116 fulltime teaches, among whom, there are 36 senior teachers 30 secondary teachers and 68 elementary teachers. The senior teachers and secondary teachers are 57% of all teacher. In our school there are 2 city level subject leaders, 18 city level excellent moral education teachers and one city level model labor. All the fulltime teachers have professional qualifications.
